Roles and Responsibilities:
During Project:
Trained in the ADN project and certified as a qualified Reliability Technicians for Day 1 readiness.
Trained on chemical process, unit operation, emergency response, basic mechanical/instrument/electrical/control system knowledges, etc.
Facilitate field operation inspection during construction and system hand over according to project schedule。
Participate in pressure test, pipe clean and blow, equipment tests according to the project schedule.
Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning before start-up, complete the preparation of start-up.
Assist RSL and APL in the editing and collating of related documents.
During Normal Operation after Project:
Take over and hand over the field operations thoroughly.
Startup / shutdown unit safely
Ensure detailed activity is captured in the Logbook.
Participate in training to become a certified Reliability Technicians following a designated progression model and schedule (field operation).
Understand and comply with safety policies and procedures; write work permits and other safety permits. Interface effectively with maintenance personnel and other plant employees, e.g. process engineers, environmental engineers, etc.
Understand and "own" compliance with environmental and other regulatory requirements. Understand and follow operating procedures.
Recognize when procedures can be improved and initiate change management process to improve procedures.
Responsibilities include operating equipment to defined standards and targets to achieve production and quality objective
Read P&IDs, procedures and other technical documentation to facilitate plant operation
Report incidents and participate in investigations and failure analyses
Make periodic rounds in units, checking and adjusting equipment to ensure proper operation, e.g. take temperature & pressure readings, adjust pump seal flushes, check and add lubrication, open and close valves, swap pumps, etc.
Complete reports and record data such as field logs and reading sheets, work orders and safe work permits using prescribed forms
Initiate work orders in SAP as appropriate
Ability to learn/perform basic mechanical skills, e.g. valve packing tightening, installation and removal of small blinds, filter change outs, vibration monitoring, etc.
Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Respond quickly and properly in time of emergencies.
Able to perform emergency shutdown as per the Emergency Procedures
Technical Skills & Competencies:
High EHS standard in a chemical plant and able to hold accountability of EHS standard
Knowledge of normal chemical unit operations & processes
Basic knowledge of common devices in chemical plant (pump, compressor, FF…)
Familiar with P&ID drawings and field equipment/instrument types.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment as required by plant policy/procedure/job site, including basic, work area and task specific (for example: respirator/SCBA, flame retardant clothing) personal protective equipment.
Basic computer skills and aptitude needed to perform data entry related to job tasks as well as web-based training.
Analytical and troubleshooting skill
Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team environment; committed to safety and environmental compliance excellence.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years work experience (except new graduates) in a chemical, polymer plant or oil refinery, experience in power station, waste treatment is acceptable.
Experience in HCN or similar high hazard chemical plants is an advantage.
Experience in construction/commission/start-up for a new project is an advantage
Education: Chemical industry related Secondary Technical School degree or above. College or bachelor undergraduate preferred.
Language Needed: Basic English communication skills is a plus
