INVISTA is bring the latest adiponitrile (ADN) technology to China to satisfy the strong, local demand for the nylon 6,6 intermediate chemical. A minimum 400,000-ton ADN plant is underway at an estimated investment more than $1 billion.
To support this INVISTA’s largest capital project, INVISTA Shanghai is hiring a Reliability Center Coordinator to facilitate Day 1 readiness of this ADN project and provide daily support to production manager during normal operation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
During Project:
Participate in project pre-commissioning and commissioning. Assistant commissioning manager to communicate with project contractors and drive project progressing as scheduled.
Facilitate production team to clarify quality standards in MA& Commissioning and ensure the key control points are inspected as expected.
Cooperate with maintenance and reliability team to drive project EPC contractor following our quality standards. ·
Act as maintenance gatekeeper of Ops side in SAP process when there are maintenance requirements during commissioning and start-up.
Identify the opportunities of long-term equipment reliability improvement during commissioning, develop the pathway after start-up accordingly.
Facilitate production manager to develop shift capability of maintenance and reliability for D1R and develop the strategy for sustainable growth towards SRS goals.
During Normal Operation after Project:
Reinforce reliability centered culture with focus on KIR work process & MBM as a whole.
Owner of the Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) work process including backlog, priorities, and closure for the Reliability Center.
Provide guidance to the Reliability Shift Leaders on establishing the right priorities for work requests, build up this capability in shift team step by step.
Develop catalyst change and TA work scopes consistent with reliability strategies and objectives.
Establish, monitor, and control the maintenance spending plan.
Own the process for prioritizing reliability strategies and works with production manager to identify production windows for critical jobs.
Integrate with the Systems Reliability Engineer (SRE) to develop & improve equipment strategies, drive the implementation of continuous improvement.
Link into and communicate with global operational and reliability community to ensure learning and experience is shared with INVISTA global work.

Technical Skills & Competencies
High EHS standard in a chemical plant and able to hold accountability of EHS standard.
In depth knowledge in chemical process and operation.
Rich experience and knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument operation perspective.
Ability to interact with first line people and lead multi-disciplinary teams with good leadership skills, as well as hand-on and team player.
Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
Rich experience and knowledge in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement is an advantage.

Experience
At least 6 years working experience in a continues process chemical plant (like oil refinery). At least 3 years act the role as plant engineer, process engineer, production engineer, shift leader, production supervisor, etc.
Experience in HCN or similar high hazard chemical plants is an advantage.
Experience in green field project commissioning and startup is an advantage.
Education BS degree in Chemical Engineering (other operation related major) or equivalent with higher level degree is an advantage.
